Affiliate Marketing Just Got Easier: New Performance Report Is Here!

At LiveChat, we appreciate your affiliate marketing efforts greatly and strive to support you on achieving your goals as much as we can. To make your work a bit easier, we created a new Performance Report based on Google’s UTM codes and attached it to your dashboard. Finally, you can easily create campaigns and check which of them convert better.

Why is this important for affiliate marketing superheroes?

Affiliate marketers find it crucial to test various ways of gaining referrals. Not all of your ideas may suit the specificity of your target audience so having a tool able to verify it is extremely important. You do care for being efficient, don’t you?

While we can help materialize your ideas by providing you with various resources (widgets, logos, texts that you can use for your copy, etc.), it’s up to you to decide where and how to use them. Performance report enables you to test different versions of your promo campaigns to find those bringing the most trials and subscriptions.

A UTM code is a simple code that you can attach to a custom URL in order to track a source, medium, and campaign name. When you choose a creative that you’d you like to use, you can add your own UTM parameters. In our performance report you can assign:

  • Utm_campaign,
  • utm_term (keywords, you want to use).

Additional parameters such as medium (eg. banner or screenshot) and creative version are both automatically added to the link.

How about shortening your links

If you prefer to share a link directly with your customer, you can use a URL shortener. At LiveChat we have even created our own tool that makes links shortening amazingly easy! What’s more, it provides its users with plethora of other features, including:

  • On-the-spot social sharing buttons for greater speed and broader reach.
  • Possibility to log in with Facebook to track clicks for everything you’ve shortened.

Please note though, that trials and subscriptions created from the links without UTM parameters will be displayed as “default- link”.
